Don Gardner Jr.
My name is Don Gardner Jr. Age 34. I grew up watching the Red Green Show on PBS channel 10 in Wisconsin. In a way I had been lucky enough to experience and enjoy some of the up north traditions that Possum Lodge embodied. I even had an Uncle that looked, acted, and dressed similar to Steve Smith Aka, Red Green. As I watched the show on TV as a kid I related somewhat to Harold, embarrassingly as that is to say now. But as the years passed i fought my way into a manhood always with the handyman's secret weapon on hand (duct tape). Nowadays I relate more and more to Steve Smith's character "Red Green". My wife and I still watch the show regularly on youtube as well as use Steve Smith's books to level tables at camp (Just Kidding). I have already started sharing words of wisdom learned from the show with my nieces and nephews. Funny how the blind apprentice becomes the blind master. Glad to have known Red was rooting for us (men), and that we're all in this together.
