Fans can expect the same witty humor, DIY disasters, and quirky Lodge traditions that made Red Green a classic. With the animated format, we can take the characters into new, absurd situations that would have been impossible in live action. Whether it’s epic handyman projects, Lodge meetings gone wrong, or completely out-of-control inventions, we’re keeping the spirit of Possum Lodge alive in a whole new way.

WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO DO AN ANIMATED SERIES?

Dave: As my dad (Steve Smith) gets older, he has less energy to physically be Red Green. Voice recordings and animation have really allowed him to be Red easier and for longer.

WHO IS MAKING IT?

With all the podcast material, Max (also Steve's son) had been gaining more experience in the animation field. It felt like the right time.

Max: The first program I ever produced was in 2001—a Red Green PBS Pledge special. I worked with Jay Ziebarth to create some celebratory animations of Red and Harold. Twenty-something years later, it's fun to be doing longer-form content and giving the Lodge a second life.

WHO IS IN IT?

Your favorite characters, including Red Green and his co-host Dave. The animated series is a blend of:

• Classic characters you already know, like Winston Rothschild and Ranger Gord.
• First-time appearances of mythical characters like Old Man Sedgwick.
• Brand-new characters bringing fresh ideas and energy, while keeping the Possum Lodge spirit alive.
