- Happy Canada Day to all you fellow Canadians out there. 150 years as a country is pretty young though. The U.S. is old enough to be our great great grandfather. But it's not. Canada is the same age as a lot of Scotland's newest buildings.
- Buster Hadfield would like to announce that another opening has come up in his weekly twosome formerly threesome formerly foursome at the Possum Lake golf club. New applicants must agree to book the tee times, pay for lunch, play for money and let Buster keep score.

- Looks like the new book on Inventions will be out on October 17th. That way you can wear your Halloween mask to the store to buy it and nobody will recognize you.

- Junior Singleton would like to announce that his annual Canada Day weekend fishing trip is cancelled as he has misplaced his fishing license, boating license and car keys. Instead Junior will be fixing his roof. His wife says that while he's doing that, she will look for the missing items and is very confident that she will find them by the time he finishes the work. But not a minute before.
- It's summertime but no matter how hot it gets men, keep your shirts on. A lot of you have breasts - it's scaring the children and confusing the babies. Otherwise have a great July!
