- It's harvesting season, which reminds me of the old adage, "You reap what you sow." Not sure that's accurate though. If it was we would have a whole bunch of empty beer bottle trees behind the Lodge.
- Winter is right around the corner and Junior Singleton would like to announce a new feature at his annual Fire Wood sale - this Fall is Junior's first attempt at a "Self-Checkout" line. Bring your own axe.
- Black Friday is coming up later this month, so be sure to check out the store for some great sales.
- The Lake will probably freeze over later this month, so Flinty McClintock would like to remind his marina patrons to get their boats out of the water now to avoid his "cold storage" winter fees.
