- Welcome to all Lodge Members and a Happy September, especially to you parents with school-aged children. To all the teachers here, our condolences.
- The Possum Lake Daily Movement would like to make a correction to an ad in last week's edition. Apparently the announcement that Mrs. Hadfield would be accepting "Toys for Tots" was misprinted. Mrs. Hadfield would like to thank all the men who showed up with toys in hand, and apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
- Tickets are going fast for my fall tour, with some dates full already. Shipshewana said they've never had a show sell out this far ahead. This will be the last performances of the I'm Not Old I'm Ripe Show. If I do another tour, I'll have to have new thoughts and at my age, that's a crapshoot. Might be smarter to see this one. Go to www.redgreen.com to learn how to get tickets.
- Recent plans for the first annual Possum Lake Film Festival have fallen through. The only proposed entries were Slapshot, which was disqualified as it was not made by a Possum Lake resident, and some of Old Man Sedgwick's home videos, which didn't pass the censor board.
- My new Invention book is only a month away from release - exciting, eh? Looks like I'll be doing a few store appearances in Ontario in November. Details to come. We're also doing an audio version of the book for those of you whose ears work better than their eyes.
- Got a pretty nifty Member of the Month. Justin Mayes. Check him out. Makes you proud to be a Lodge member.
- Junior Singleton would like to announce that his apple crop was below the standards set by the Food and Drug Administration so instead Junior will be offering a snack that is Gluten Free, Fat Free, Meat Free, Dairy Free, No Added Sugar, Low Sodium, and Vegan. He hasn't got a name for it yet so for the time being he will continue to call it 'bark'.
- We added more stuff to the Photo Gallery from our friend Jim Jackson. This guy has gotta be the most artistic Lodge Member we have. He paints, he carves, he does woodworking. Some of his stuff is for sale. Just let us know if you're interested and we'll hook you up. No commission to us. Just trying to connect a true artist with people who appreciate it.
- Have a great September.
