A girl I used to date is the one who introduced me to the Red Green Show. It was sometime in the '90's but I'm not sure exactly when. She thought I'd like it, but really couldn't describe what the show was. And...*I* have the same problem. The Red Green Show isn't easily defined--but it's a lot of fun to watch. I have the entire run on DVD, and Duct Tape Forever, and still watch a few episodes when I need a lift.
I went into the Bering's hardware off Bissonnet Street. And there was RED GREEN!! I had no idea he'd be in Houston...and not in the store right there in front of me. So, I was surprised.
I was so happy to meet him. The Red Green Show gave me years of good-natured humor and entertainment.
As an engineering type-I'm not an engineer, but I work with them as a technician, and often have to improvise. If anything, the engineers stop me from making anything that will hurt anyone through design failure. :-) So of course there's that in the show. I know a few engineers who also like the show.
