My name Is Chris VanAlstine and I grew up and live in the boonies about an hour west of Ottawa. I am torn between being a country boy and city boy! I have lived in the city many times but always find myself lured back to the country. I have always had a creative mind trying my hand at various art forms but I never knew which one would help me to create a life for myself. I dabble in writing and music but I wanted something that would also create something visual. I tried wood projects but I didn't enjoy that and so this year I found myself experimenting with metal. I built a miniature forge and starting melting aluminum and then pouring them into molds. This is what I got! My Facebook page is just starting up but it is called " Design By Vanstein". Enjoy!
