Red Green, played by Steve Smith, is the star of the show. He's a married, middle-aged guy who fancies himself a handyman, though others might disagree. Red runs the Possum Lodge, a men's club in the fictional Canadian town of Possum Lake. The show follows Red and his lodge buddies as they tackle projects and try to fix things around town. Unfortunately, Red's methods, which often involve duct tape ("the handyman's secret weapon" in his eyes), lead to hilarious disasters. The show itself is filmed like a cable access program. There's a live audience at the Possum Lodge, and some segments are pre-recorded by Red's nephew Harold, who even built his own control panel to manage camera effects and cues.
