Wonderful hat, love the reminder of the show. Nice product, will be nice once broken in.

I've been a Red Green fan forr a long time and I always wanted THE hat but always looked for it in the malls and catalogs.
So, after a long while I discoverd the Red Green Official website ! and lo and behold there it was.!
Now it is on my head as we speak!!!

Folks, lemme learn you sumthin’. Don’t waste your time reading other reviews. You only need one. This’un. The review you’re about to read….WILL have you buying this hat, faster than you steppin’ and fetchin’ while your head’s on fire, and your **** is catchin’.

You’ve been warned.

First, and I will not apologize. You’re here to read my review for “THE” hat. We’ll get there. I promise.

So, that being said, before I get to “THE” hat, I’d be remiss if I failed to say quite a few words about our great friend, Steve Smith.

Thank you Steve!!! Thank you so much. Thank you to you, and your friend Rick Green (Adventures With Bill) for the creation of The Red Green Show. Your show has been an inspiration to us all (those of us with a functioning brain, and an indecent sense of humor😜)

The Red Green Show is a staple in our neck of the woods. Said woods, being the Appalachian Mountains of Western Maryland. Think about it like this. If MD is shaped like a pistol, we’re out at the tip of the barrel. I can see WV from my front porch. PA is 30 min away, and VA is less than an hour. For a lack of better terms, smack-dab in the middle of B.F.E.

The nature of living in B.F.E. brings “Handyman Corner” to a special light. It’s our favorite part of the show. In these parts, Handyman Corner was, and still is, considered school. Even here, far from the beauty of Canada, it’s been proven to “work” 😉 Believe me, the proof is in the pudding, and it’s tasty.

Not only have you provided us with countless laughs, but we’ve learned so many important life lessons. Like, “Be generous with the duct tape, you know; spare the duct tape, spoil the job.”, and “If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy." Now, the reason I’ve provided the generous portion of free mouth service, is this. I can’t tell you anything, without telling you all of the awesomeness that surrounds “THE” hat. However, in the world of hats, this beautiful specimen we’re reviewing today, is without a doubt, lé pièce de résistance!!!!

THE FIELD MANEUVERS HAT!!!!!!!

Folks……listen. I mean it. LISTEN!!! You, your family, your friends, your friends family, your family’s friends, even random strangers, NEED THIS HAT!!! So much so, I bought it for a friend, and I’m about to order two more. One for me, and one for my brother.

Yes, you’re right. You could buy a cheap Boonie hat, and fold the thing and make it look nothing like this beaut. Just remember, you’re fooling yourself, and others. Shame on you!! Don’t do it. It will never, never, NEVER be “THE” hat. It can only pale to a floppy useless thing, turned a dull grayish color. Also, this was cool. With fear being my best guess, for the cause. When said cheap Boonie hat was placed next to “THE” hat (I witnessed this!!!) it started crying, instantly begin fraying apart, and burst into flames.

BUILD: The build quality is beyond sound. The supple, yet sturdy, material has a “broken-in” feel, right-out-the bag. No wear time needed, to be pleasured by its perfect feel. If you work/play in wet conditions, the cotton material provides the perfect opportunity for waterproofing. Personally, I recommend the Silicone & Naptha method (https://youtu.be/z_R0gEDZhAI?si=BTYLRK_gRytG-pMp), if you so desire. Stitching, was on point. QC did a good job.

SIZE: Perfect fit. Pro Tip: Don’t be a muppet. Measure your frickin’ head.

SDMIDE NOTE: The best part (I think) is the reinforced bill. I’ve never, in my life, seen/held/worn a Boonie hat, whose bill didn’t become, and stay, warped. Unlike “THE” hat that Red has given us, all other Boonie hats(yes you read that right) ALL BOONIE HATS, have yet to provide us with an über thick, yet pliable hat bill such as this.

If you’ve made it this far, and you’ve still refused to procure, for yourself, “THE” hat….you’re a fool😜 Either that, or you’re afraid of hats(which is kind of funny, since you’re looking at hats), or you don’t like being told that another hat, is better than the one you’re currently wearing.

I wear the hat every day I love it!!!!!!

I originally ordered this cap to show solidarity with all my fellow Red Green fans... and just because Red Green wears one. I did not know that it would be the most comfortable and useful hat that I own! More comfortable than a ball cap and blocks the sun twice as well. Covers the tips of your ears (important here in Alaska), and gets me comments everywhere that I wear it. I'm going to buy another one.
